From The Tamarind Tree

£495.00
sold out

down at the hill at Granny’s old house

A new collection of still life inspired by my longing to return to Malarhodjden.

This piece measures 48x38cm

Acrylic, charcoal and spraypaint on Birch Plywwod

Framed in A White Box Frame

(photographed unframed) The blue in the background was extremely difficult to get true to colour. The close ups show this colour best.

The philosophy underlying Dawn’s body of work is to celebrate the intimate relationship between an item and its owner by illuminating the context in which it is presented. Her process, whether constructing an elaborately furnished roomscape or the study of an austere clay pot draped with crocosmia. In her painting she invites you to learn more about the homeowner as she gets to know them.
